Process

Four-step referral process

From submission to admission, with clinical review and key-worker handover at every stage.

  1. Step 01

    Submit Referral

    Complete the referral and attach supporting documents, GP summary, blood tests for detox, any risk assessments.

  2. Step 02

    Assessment

    Admissions reviews the referral. Assessment by telephone or face to face, typically within 24–48 hours.

  3. Step 03

    Medical Review

    UKAT medical team reviews clinical information to confirm suitability and pathway.

  4. Step 04

    Funding and Admission

    Funding confirmed with the referring authority. Admission arranged with the key worker.
